A Plot Synopsis, Film Clips and Artwork from the Movie ‘Den Of Thieves 2: Pantera’

The film begins with a European airport heist. Donnie Wilson and the rest of the Panther crew are stealing a red diamond along with some coveted files and make their escape disguised as a SWAT unit. Donnie later meets up with the leader of the Panther gang, Jovahnna.

In Rhode Island, Sheriff Nick O’Brien is finalizing his divorce. O’Brien is venting his frustration, taking it out on a hand drier in a public restroom. Later, O’Brien visits a strip club to integrate Holly, widow of the deceased man Merrimen, who happens to strip there. O’Brien inquires if she ever heard her husband and a man named Wilson discuss a potential endgame, to which she reluctantly answers.

Jovahnna relocates Donnie Wilson to a high-rise apartment so the two can stake out their next target; a diamond vault at a bank called the WDC. Jovahnna gives Donnie his new covert identity, an WDC executive, so he can get a lay of the land. Later, Donnie and the rest of the Panthers are gathered at the Panther headquarters, discussing the WDC heist and delegating responsibilities.

Later that evening. Donnie returns to his new high-rise loft,where he discovers Nick O’Brian has broken in. Nick attempts to hold Donnie at gunpoint, confessing to Donie he recently abandoned the police force. He proposes to Donie that he will be joining the group and to set up a meeting with Jovahanna and the rest of the Panthers.The next day, Donnie introduces Nick O’Brian to Jovahnna.She introduces them to a woman named Chava, a diamond inspector and the wife of a WDC manager.

Elsewhere, the mafia, from whom Donnie Wilson stole the red diamond from, devise a plan to capture him.Later that night, the Panthers, along with Donnie and Nick, go out clubbing. Nick, after a hit of weed and a few shots,decides to dance with Jovanna. The mafia intervenes, which leaves Nick to fight with a mafia lackey. The rest of the group is escorted out of the club by security, while Donnie and Nick are kidnapped by the mafia.

The mafia brings the two men on their boat, threatening them in exchange for the red diamond. They are shoved off the boat and left for dead, but the two manage to swim back to shore. Nick is furious to learn that Donnie stole from the mafia and threatens to quit the next heist. Later, Nick reluctantly agrees to follow through.

The Panthers transport Nick to their headquarters blindfolded. Nick inquires about the security and they provide him with a cover as a security contractor, to accompany Donnie’s guise as a WDC executive. The group reviews the plan once more and are debriefed on the equipment they will need to go through with the heist.

Both Donnie and Nick use their disguises and infiltrate the vault with the help of Chava. They both map out the vault carefully, as Nick’s suit has been retrofitted with microscopic cameras by Jovahnna. After the two are finished scouting, they manage to locate what vault the red diamond is in. The Panthers gather their equipment and weapons, prepare getaway vehicles, and discuss the timing of the surveillance system's guard rotations.

Finally, the team attempt the heist. They use a large pipe to crawl upon the roof of the WDC from the building next door. The group infiltrates each room, stairwell, and various corridors, all guided by Johvahnna. They sneak into the vault, bypassing the various cameras, and attempt to search for the red diamond, which isn't where O'Brien said it would be.

Wilson manages to find the red diamond, while the Panthers steal as much cash as they can. The WDC manager, along with his wife, Chava are out watching a soccer match when he suddenly decides to return to the WDC. The crew slide down to the roof of the other building, but the heist goes awry when Nick slides down the pipe and it breaks due to the weight. He throws his duffel bag and finagles his way down safely. He sneaks past the first guard, and shoots the second guard, but finds the guard is wearing a bulletproof vest.

Nick and the other Panthers manage to escape with the red diamond, transferring it to Jovhanna's van and changing their vehicle's appearance to avoid detection. While driving to meet the mafia, they are chased by renegade mafia members led by Volko. Nick disables one of their vehicles, but Wilson's car is trapped by Volko's men. Just as they resign themselves to their fate, the mafia higher-ups arrive and kill Volko and his men. The trio return the red diamond and are given a new vehicle by the capos, who then burn the evidence.

Nick, Donnie, and the rest of the Panthers have taken to Italy to celebrate. Nick is obviously distracted, and Donnier recognizes this. Suddenly, the authorities rush the group, surrounding the Panthers, while Nick reveals that he has been on the force all along. Later, Nick visits Donnie in prison. He asks Nick if it was all fake, but Nick replies with ‘no’.

Later, Donnie is being transported to a new correctional facility but is ambushed by the mafia. They take Donnie to the mafia Don’s home, where he informs them that he is impressed by Donnie and that Donnie now works for the mafia Don. Donnie accepts. As Nick drives along the coast, a text comes through which says: “I’ll be seeing you again, FRAULEIN”. Upon reading this, Nick smiles and the screen fades to black.
